Our classically trained culinary team is more than happy to develop a custom class centered around topics and techniques that you and your guests specifically want to learn more about. Otherwise, our current class selection is below:

Learn to make pasta from scratch in your own kitchen, from handcut noodles to stamped ravioli, accompanied by rich traditional sauces.  You’ll also discover the magic behind pasta carbonara and finish with zabaglione, a dairy-free custard made with Marsala wine.

In this boozy class, you’ll discover great ideas for including bourbon in your cooking – and baking! – and learn how to balance recipes for a hint or a hug.  Enjoy an unusual signature cocktail and make the components for a unique, bourbon-inspired salad.

Explore the flavors of Greece with hearty dishes and small, flavorful mezedes.  We’ll talk about spice pairings and ingredients that are distinctly Greek, assemble the ultimate moussaka, and play with a plethora of phyllo possibilities.

The ultimate cold weather class!  You’ll learn the basic steps these dishes have in common and why, then sample the end results, both exotic and familiar.  Finally, we’ll equip you for your own soup adventures.

India offers a dizzying selection of dishes, from curries to naan to layered biryani.  This class demystifies some of this cuisine and lets you produce it in your own home, including frying spices and managing formidable ingredient lists.

If you know the best way to use them in cooking, cast iron pans are worth their (hefty) weight in gold.  Easy transfer from stovetop to oven and even, steady heat are just two properties that you can put to work for you, with both savory dishes and sweet.  BYOCI (Bring Your Own Cast Iron) and we’ll talk about their care and feeding.

Logistics

Classes last for 1 1/2 hours and are typically scheduled Tuesdays through Thursdays after 6pm. Weekend classes are available as our commissary calendar allows. Adult beverages are included, as well as written recipes for all of the dishes discussed during the class. The class structure typically includes about 45 minutes of instruction and demonstration and then 45 minutes of interactive learning, where guests can participate in some of the recipes demonstrated for the class. Guests are welcome to take home whatever they produce or enjoy it in the class setting, but the food items enjoyed during a class would not constitute a meal. 

Our commissary is located at 702 Sixth Avenue, Dayton, KY 41074. We have a private parking lot to the east of the building with 10 spots, so most of your guests should not have to find street parking. We can accommodate 20 adults in a private class.

Children under the age of 12 are welcome to attend a class, but must be accompanied by an adult.

Pricing

Classes chosen from our repertoire of classes above are $79 per person. Custom curated classes are $109 per person. We can accommodate up to 20 adults in our commissary for a private cooking class.
